American Anthem Live

American Anthem Live was conceived as a large-scale live music entertainment event designed to unite people through the shared emotional power of music. The vision was to create more than a concert. It was intended to be a patriotic-but-nonpolitical cultural experience centered on community, storytelling, and collective celebration.
Although the event was ultimately canceled before launch, the creative development phase required building a complete visual ecosystem that could support a national-caliber live experience, from brand identity through digital execution.
The Challenge
The event needed a bold, emotionally resonant identity that captured the spirit of American unity without leaning into political symbolism. The brand had to feel modern, cinematic, and inclusive while appealing to a broad national audience. Because the event was intended to attract both live attendees and streaming viewers, the visual system also needed to translate seamlessly across large-format event environments and digital platforms.
My Role
As Art Director, I led the full creative vision for the event brand and audience-facing experience. I was responsible for shaping the visual identity from concept to execution, ensuring every touchpoint expressed a cohesive emotional narrative.
My responsibilities included:
Developing the event’s overarching visual identity and creative direction
Designing all branded event graphics and promotional materials
Creating the full website experience, including UX direction and page layouts
Establishing typography, motion direction, and visual storytelling guidelines
Translating the event concept into scalable assets for digital, environmental, and marketing use
Creative Approach
The design language centered on cinematic energy, bold typography, and emotionally charged imagery that reflected music as a unifying force. Inspired by large-scale entertainment experiences, the visual system balanced patriotic motifs with contemporary restraint, avoiding clichés in favor of elevated storytelling.
The website was designed as an immersive extension of the event itself. I created a visually driven one-page digital experience featuring:

Outcome
While the event did not move into production, the project demonstrates my ability to build a fully realized experiential brand from the ground up. American Anthem Live showcases my strength in translating abstract emotional concepts into cohesive, multi-platform visual systems that connect audiences through story, scale, and design.
